Charitable Initiatives and Community Engagment

Mission Statement

Our mission is to uplift and strengthen the communities we serve through charitable outreach, youth empowerment, and compassionate service.
Guided by the principles of brotherhood and dedication, the Prince Hall Shriners of the Desert of Florida are committed to providing meaningful support to individuals and families in need. Over the past four years, we have donated more than $250,000 in goods and financial assistance to help improve lives across our state and beyond.

Academic Scholarships

From 2021 to 2025, the Desert of Florida has awarded more than $10,000 in scholarship funds to 13 high-school students. Each year, during our Statewide Gala Conference, scholarships ranging from $500 to $1,000 are presented to deserving students who reside in the host city. Through this initiative, we proudly support young people as they pursue their educational goals and lifelong dreams.

Disaster Recovery Assistance

From 2018 through 2025, we have supported families impacted by natural disasters by providing essential supplies—including toiletries, detergent, food, water, and clothing. Through these efforts, we have served more than 2,000 families in their time of greatest need.

Shopping with a Noble & Daughter

Each Christmas season, members across the State of Florida come together to host our Shop with a Noble and a Daughter initiative. During this event, we accompany underprivileged youth on a special shopping trip, providing each child with a Walmart gift card to select gifts that bring joy and fulfill personal needs.

Beyond the gifts, this moment creates an opportunity for meaningful mentorship and bonding between our members and the youth we serve.

From 2022 to the present, our membership has proudly provided gift cards to approximately 3,000 children throughout the State of Florida.
